What is a MEF Grant?
The Marion Education Foundation (MEF) supports creative and meaningful ideas that enrich instruction and strengthen student learning. Teachers, staff and administration are invited to apply for MEF Grants to fund programs, projects, and instructional materials that bring the curriculum to life. Funded proposals must enhance student academic performance and/or advance district or campus goals, objectives, and priorities.
Who can Apply?
Individuals or teams of individuals employed by Marion ISD who are involved in the instruction of students or related support services benefiting students.
How much is a GRANT?
Grants of up to $2,500 can be awarded to individual staff-initiated programs or projects. Grants of up to $5,000 can be awarded to two or more staff submitting an application together, campus teams, departments, and district-initiated programs or projects. All applicants signing the application would be responsible for seeing the grant fully implemented. The number of awards will depend on funds available from MEF.
