The purpose of the Marion Education Foundation is to encourage and support the educational development of Marion ISD students and staff members by fostering community involvement in the public education process. We aim to build strong partnerships both within and beyond our community to provide the essential resources and opportunities needed to ensure the success of every student.

The Marion Education Foundation partners with the community to provide resources that maximize and enrich innovative teaching and learning opportunities and recognize successes of students, staff, and educators.


Programs
Teaching Grants
Fundraising Goal: $40,000 100's of Students Impacted
Teaching grants are made available to all MISD teachers and staff ranging from $250-$5000. Grants are submitted by individual teachers, teams of teachers, or a grade level. Grants provide funds to enhance project demonstrating instructional excellence and innovation in the classroom.
Community Partnerships
Fundraising Goal: $15,000 100's of Staff
To foster excellence, the Foundation partners with Marion ISD to provide a token of appreciation to teachers and staff who have been recognized for their commitment, dedication, and achievement in their respective roles around the district through an end of year banquet. Additionally, the Foundation partners with community organizations and businesses to provide recognition opportunities for all employees through a variety of ways (ie meals and/or luncheons, tokens of appreciation, etc.)
Special Projects

Each year, the Marion Education Foundation proudly invests in programs that go above and beyond traditional classroom experiences. Through generous community support, MEF funds special projects such as Leader In Me, Special Olympics, and other innovative initiatives proposed by our district. These projects help enrich student learning, foster leadership, and create opportunities that make a lasting impact on our schools and community.
